Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.
An anonymized string (called a hash) created from your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to see if you’re using it. You can view the Gravatar privacy policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture may be visible publicly.
Media
If you upload images to the site, avoid including images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS), as visitors can download and extract location data from these images.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, you may choose to save your name, email, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience and will last for one year.
When visiting our login page, a temporary cookie checks if your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.
When logging in, we’ll set cookies to save your login info and display preferences. Login cookies last two days, screen options cookies last a year, and if you select “Remember Me,” your login persists for two weeks. Logging out will remove login cookies.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie (no personal data) will be stored to identify the post ID. It expires after one day.
